Video 2 – Real Throughput & PoE Power Measurement Test

Demonstration of real-world Ethernet throughput and inline PoE power measurements using a professional network tester. This test verifies stable data performance and actual PoE delivery under load over long-distance coax or 2-wire cabling.

Video 3 – Point-to-Multipoint Deployment Example

This video shows a point-to-multipoint topology where one master unit distributes Ethernet and PoE to multiple remote extenders. Suitable for trains, tunnels, surveillance corridors, or linear infrastructure deployments.

Video 4 – Daisy-Chain Configuration Demonstration

Demonstration of a daisy-chain configuration where multiple extenders are connected in series. This setup allows scalable expansion while maintaining Ethernet data flow and PoE delivery across extended distances.

Application 1 – Point-to-Point Ethernet & PoE Extension (PoE-Powered Master)

Point to Point PoE Ethernet Extension using M12 LAN Extender

In this point-to-point configuration, the master M12 LAN extender operates as a PoE Powered Device (PD) and is powered directly from an upstream PoE switch or injector (IEEE 802.3af/at).
Ethernet data and PoE power are transmitted over existing coaxial cable or 2-wire copper lines to the remote extender.

The remote unit regenerates Ethernet and delivers PoE output to end devices such as IP cameras, passenger information systems, access points, or industrial controllers.
This topology is ideal for rail vehicles, tunnels, industrial corridors, and legacy cabling environments where installing new Ethernet cabling is impractical.

Application 2 – Daisy-Chain Deployment for Extended Distance & Multiple Devices

Daisy Chain PoE Ethernet Extension using M12 LAN Extenders

In a daisy-chain configuration, multiple M12 LAN extenders are connected sequentially along a single cable path.
The master unit can be powered either by PoE from a switch or by a local 48V DC power supply to increase maximum transmission distance and available PoE budget.

Each intermediate extender regenerates the Ethernet signal and passes PoE forward, allowing multiple powered devices to be connected along long linear installations.
This approach is commonly used in trains, metros, platforms, tunnels, and other transportation or infrastructure systems requiring scalable network expansion.

Description

This M12 & RJ-45 PoE Ethernet Booster LAN Extender kit extends Ethernet data and PoE power over existing coaxial cable (RG-59/6/11)
or 2-wire copper (twisted pair), ideal for long-distance IP camera, access control, and industrial network deployments.
It supports multiple topologies (point-to-point, star, and daisy-chain) and offers flexible power options on the master side.

  • Long-distance Ethernet + PoE over existing cable: Transmit Ethernet and PoE over coax or 2-wire lines — up to 500 m with PoE or up to 800 m for data-only (installation-dependent).
  • Flexible network topologies: Supports point-to-point, star, and daisy-chain configurations for systems with multiple remote endpoints.
  • Dual-interface per unit (M12 + RJ-45): Each extender provides both industrial M12 and standard RJ-45 Ethernet interfaces for easier integration with cameras, routers, PCs, and controllers.
  • Master-side power options: Operate the master as PoE-powered (PD) for installations without local AC power, or use the included 48 VDC adapter to maximize PoE delivery to remote devices (especially in star/daisy-chain layouts).
  • Rugged industrial design: Aluminum housing, DIN-rail mount, and front-panel status LEDs for Link/Line/PoE to support quick commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Coax & 2-wire compatibility: Accepts RG-59/6/11 coax or twisted pair using the included BNC-to-screw-terminal adapter (balun).

FAQ

Does this device create or Extend Wi-Fi or Wireless?

No. This is not a Wi-Fi extender and does not transmit wireless signal. It only extends Ethernet + PoE over coaxial or 2-wire cables.

What is the maximum distance?

Up to 800 depending on cable quality, if PoE transmission is needed – up to 500m. Cheap/disintegrated cables will reduce performance.

Does this provide PoE to my IP camera or any other PoE powered device?

Yes. The receiver outputs PoE (802.3af/at). Your camera, router or any other PD device must support PoE and be 12W–25W max.

Can I use this with analog cameras (AHD/TVI/CVI/PAL/NICAM)?

No. This product is for IP (Ethernet) cameras only (network PoE). Analog cameras require different signal converters.

Does the transmitter (master side) require PoE or local power?

It supports both: PoE In (from PoE switch/injector)
48–57V DC local power. Either option works.
