Solution to send FXS / FXO POTS over the Ethernet network

Recently we came across the project where FXS/FXO analogue phones should be sent over IP/Ethernet network, and solution with IP phones and gateways for several reasons could not be implemented. What we needed to offer, was a simple converter schemes, which will pass through all – CLI’s, DDI, and PABX specific protocols just like a simple converter. Also faxes should be working. In VoIP as we all know, faxes are usually problem, and some specific protocols implemented at PABX’es also sometimes does not works on VoIP.

Here is how you can do that using our products:

voice2

it’s an easy way to get 30 voice lines tranparently through the IP.

You need:

1 pair of AN-E1-Muxlite: https://www.ad-net.com.tw/index.php?id=254

1 pair of AN-E1-TDM-IP: https://www.ad-net.com.tw/index.php?id=491

If more than 30 lines should be sent over IP, you can use, 2E1, 4E1, 8E1, or 16E1 TDM over IP units. Each E1 line will carry 30 phone likes, so in case of 16E1 unit you can send over IP 480 phones.

In case even bigger capacity is needed, TDM over IP units can be cascaded to get more capacity.

Lomoveishiy – Finland

I needed those to connect my PC on the third floor to have internet access in that room, and ISP installed their modem on the first floor only. After dropping fiber patch cables, plugged in all cables into these media converters at both sides, and link came up instantly. Was much easier than I thought!

Great experience – units worked straight out of the box – just needed plug in cables and we were done. I also like the possibility to enable jumbo frames, while we do not have a need for this feature at the current moment it’s great to have this option.
